Why is it that just by the way you choose to live your life, people assume you’re being judgmental without you even saying a word?
In life, you’ll meet many people who think you believe you’re better than them simply because you choose to do what’s right. You may not eat certain unhealthy foods. You may avoid watching trash on TV. You may choose to dress in a way that honors and glorifies God.
But because you choose to live that way, some people who know it’s the right thing to do but choose not to may call you judgmental. The truth is, they are judging themselves based on your life.
Don’t ever change who you are or stop doing what’s right just because of what others think. The Bible says, “For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.” (James 3:2 KJV)
I’m not saying we should walk around thinking we’re better than other people. But that doesn’t mean we can’t desire better or strive for better. None of us are perfect, but if we truly want to meet our Lord and Savior, we should be striving to be perfect just as He is perfect.
I just wanted to write this to encourage you: Keep doing what’s right, no matter what others may think or say. And when others accuse you, let them accuse you falsely.
“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.” (Matthew 5:11 KJV)
