Like the cedar tree, we will stand;
We will do as God commands.
We will work while it is day;
We will watch, and work, and pray.
We will stand for what is right,
Even in the darkest night.
We will grow strong in the Lord;
We will work in one accord.
Like the cedar tree, we’ll be
A sweet fragrance to souls in need,
So when they see us from afar,
They will know whose we are.
Like the cedar, we won’t rot;
We will stand strong as a rock.
With our roots grounded deep,
We will learn at Jesus’ feet.
Like the cedar tree of old,
We will help others to grow.
By our steadfastness in the Lord,
They will yearn to learn more
About the God who helps us stand
Amid disaster in the land.
They will join us in the fight,
Against the darkness, bring the light.
Like the cedar, we will stand,
Growing stronger, hand in hand,
Becoming all that we can be.
With characters like Christ,
We’ll truly reflect His life.
Like the cedar tree I choose to be,
Will you accept the call and stand with me?
