Warriors of Faith: Embracing Life’s Battles with Christ as Our Commander

God gives His strongest warriors the roughest battles. And to be honest, that’s what gets me through life. Life is a constant battle of good and evil. Each and every day, we are surrounded by darkness, and we have to keep our eyes fixated on Christ, our General, knowing that with Him on our side, we will win any battle.

In this battle, we can never be off guard. We are to constantly be watching and praying not just for ourselves, but for those who are under the attacks of the enemy. As we draw strength from Christ, we can help other soldiers who are weary and ready to give up by fighting for them. We are all in this together, and as good soldiers of Jesus Christ, we will stand in the gap for those who just can’t fight anymore.

On this Christian journey, we are to be selfless thinking of others before ourselves, willing and ready to lay down our lives in order for someone else to be saved. Ready to pick up a soldier who has fallen down and carry them until they are able to get up and fight again.

In this battle called life, we need an ear to hear God’s voice to lead us and instruct us in the way that we should go. We can’t afford to be distracted by the cares of this world. As soldiers of the cross, we need to be consistently marching higher and higher, leading and encouraging those behind us that if we can do it, so can they.

So let’s fight this fight like good soldiers. It will all be worth it in the end.

I may not know each and every one of you who is reading this, but God does, and He knows that you’re strong enough to fight through the darkness. And if He’s called you to be a soldier, as long as you trust Him, you will make it through this battle victorious!

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 2:3

Amen! Thanks for these encouraging words. My heart has been blessed. At times it can get difficult, but God is my help. He gives me strength to hope, believe, and try again. Especially when I don’t understand.

Shaynna, God trust you to go through hardness and to overcome. By the word of your testimony others will have a pattern by your example on how to overcome. Continue to be a faithful soldier my little sister.
